Dank & Juicy is our full-blown West Coast Style IPA brewed with Citra, Equinox and Mosaic hops.

On top you are greeted with loads of tropical fruit mixed with a fatty, resinous and juicy hop backbone.

This combination gives a wealth of complexity to this tasty beverage.

Copenhagen 30/5 2019. 50 cl can from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Corner of Østerbrogade og Strandboulevarden (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel). A very Miami Vice can-design with a shiny car and a purple sky in the background. Pastel color galore. On the back I can see that it seems to be a Vegan Friendly beer.

Pours hazy, milky, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is fruity, exotic and citric. More sweet than citric- Peach, Pear and Mango. Lighter notes of citrus and Grape fruit.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, texture. A little sticky.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter streak. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.

Decent IPA from the sweet side of the street.

Canned in a big old crafty craft can
Pours a slightly hazy amber body with good white white
Aroma has that dank juicy alright with big citrus notes
Grapefruit foam and trickles if caramel in the flavour
It’s a great beer but only a good west coast IPA

Pours a hazy, light golden amber coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and intense tropical notes of passion fruit and papaya, with a hint of citrus as well. Taste follows the nose, with some light biscuity malt upfront and some rather intense, juicy, tangy tropical hop notes of papaya, passion fruit and mango, as well as some zesty lime peel and a rather distinct dankness coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some tropical notes, lime and dankness lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

While this is quite a nice tropical IPA with some rather vibrant papaya and passion fruit notes especially, with a good dankness and balanced nicely by some zesty lime peel, I'm absolutely mystefied as to why the brewer calls this a "full-blown west ccoast IPA" when it completely lacks any kind of pine resin or aggressive bitterness. I have to wonder if the brewer ever actually had a proper WCIPA? Nonetheless, it's a rather nice tropical fruit bomb IPA, even though it has a lot more in common with a NE rather than a WC IPA. So I guess that while it lives up to its name, I've never heard of a "dank and juicy" West Coast IPA.

Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has fruity notes but also grainy malts. Taste starts juicy but the again the grainy malts and cracker flavors come through. Finishes with light bitterness and lingers on the aftertaste with citrusy hop notes. Medium body and carbonation. A bit too grainy for the style but not bad overall.

On tap at Bar Maquila. Half pintp In shaker glass. Lunch with Pedro, with empanadilla criolla. As the name of the brewery indicates, this is a pretty dry and bitter brew. Invites to short sips, but it isn't hard to finsh. It has a noticeable herbal bitterness, maybe more intensified because of its dryness. I miss a bit more taste here. Avg 3.65.

12 Aug 2018. From Zombier. At lunch, with fries with eggs and croquettes. 11 months after bb. Still fairly pleasant, even retaining nice aromatic notes. Lost juicyness but has well placed bitterness and resin notes
