Copenhagen 1/1 2020. 44 cl can from Beerlivery Web-shop. Green can with Drawing of a very symmetric, grumpy-looking owl creature.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized, bubbly white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and of fermented exotic fruit and citrus fruit. Sweet malts with a caramel odor meeting, decayed exotic fruit. Hints of mustard. Lemon and citrus fruit.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, greasy texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a lighter sweet undercurrent. Surprisingly strong presence of alcohol. Finish is semi-dry.
NEIPA with a prominent presence of boozy alcohol which almost reminds me of a DIPA.
