Copenhagen 25/5 2023. 44 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. A fragmented, shaky, green Skull on the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Stable. Settles as thin - almost transparent - layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, roasted odor mingling with Christmas spices. Dark roasted malts, cinnamon in abundance, vanilla and toffee. Brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Fairly thick, oily, soft, smooth, viscous yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a streak of alcohol and cinnamon. Light boozy burn. Finish is rather dry.
A bit heavy on the cinnamon.
