Copenhagen 14/4 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark can with a reflecting, silver face looking spookily at me.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a dark, odor of roasted malts, earthy fumes and coffee. Dry hops peeking in. Dark roasted malts, roast, brown sugar, musty cellar and a fine citric streak.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a citric streak. Lingers for a while. Finish is roasted and dry.
Like a heavy Black Indian Pale Ale.
