Coffiend is a series of beers brewed in collaboration with Jesper from the most excellent Copenhagen roastery, Coffea.
The sour beer is medium bodied, with notes of toasted brown bread, nuts and caramel. Jesper paired this base with Colombian beans that lend complex notes of nuts, citrus fruits and heavy chocolate.

Copenhagen 19/2 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Pastel coloresd can in purple, green and yellow with the same abstract form as the other Coffiend beers from Dry & Bitter.
Pours clear yellow with a big, bubbly white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense and quite stange. Best described as black coffee meets very sour, unripe berries. Coffee beans, melted plastic, tart gooseberries, lemon.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong bitter and sour flavor. Aftertaste is sour and a little thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish id watery yet rather dry.
A quite uncanny combination of style and ingredients. More strange than pleasant.
