Triple IPAs need some serious hops to rise up over their thick malty bases. With Trip Hazard, we did our best to let each part of this tapestry shine through.
We started with Amarillo and Simcoe in the boil to build a rich grapefruit canvas. A double dry-hop of Simcoe, Talus and Millennium gave us this tropical fruit overload, with lychee and papaya coming forth in waves accompanied by subtle hints of spruce.

Copenhagen 12/8 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. What looks like weird screaming glass statue reflecting neon light on the can. A little lonely red figure in the foreground.
Pours opaque, milky golden yellow with mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit mingling with a more subdued citric scent. Hints of decay. Peach, mango and papaya. Grapefruit and citrus. Pine.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Potent and slightly boozy DIPA. Almost sugary but yet with a bitter bite.
