Versus is a two-part series where we explore the differences between two IPA yeasts while keeping the process and all other ingredients the same.
For Eastside, we used WLP066 London Fog yeast. Westward uses US-05 American Ale yeast. Both have a luxurious double dry-hop of Wakatu, Amarillo and El Dorado.
In Eastside, we experience tropical notes of lychee and papaya on a soft body with a gently bitter finish.
Compare the two beers and have opinions.

Copenhagen 1/1 2022. 44 cl can from Beerlivery web-shop. Orange can with little abstract painting which resembles something fairly abstract melting with vigor.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fermented, fruity odor mingling with tart and citric scents. Ripe pear, peach and mango. Hints of decay. Citrus and grapefruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intensewith a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit searing. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Fine and potent NEIPA with a solid bitter bite.
