Exiled from his adopted homeland of Poland, Maurycy Beniowski found himself incarcerated in Siberia. He did what any good pirate would do…stole a ship and sailed away to freedom ashore an island near the Southern coast of Africa. Beniowski was proclaimed the King of Madagascar in 1776, and now our 9.1% Baltic Porter captures the spirit of this audacious pirate king.
Very complex, multi-layered malt & dark fruit flavours. Rich malty sweetness, mouth-filling & very smooth.
Hops: Perle
Malts: Chocolate Malt, Dark Crystal, Roasted Barley

Copenhagen 24/9 2024. 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. A futuristic landscape on the can with cacti and a strange, surrealistic, oblong and hollow form.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet dark roasted odor mingling with earthy fumes. Dark roasted malts. Whiff of brown sugar Leather and compost.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous. almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet with a touch of alcohol.
Potent and roasted.
