In this magic, potent and sour beer an infusion of blackberry and salt brings tart and refreshing bramble fruit characters along with the sharpness of the sea.

Copenhagen 14/1 2023. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark rendering of monstrous Merman waving a red spiky blade on the can.
Pours unclear murky dark red with a mid-sized pink head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma moderately intense with a sweet odor of ripe berries mingling with tart fruit. Black currant and blackberries. Citrus and tart spring gooseberries.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, slightly viscous, quite flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light fruity sweetness followed by a medium strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour. Finish is dry.
Nice fruit cocktail but a bit of a stretch to call it “Imperial”.
