Copenhagen 8/4 2026. 44 cl can from Den Gamle Købmand, Skt. Annæ Plads, Kbh. K. A guy that looks like a Richardt Branderup figure. Pale, purple hair and top hat.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a 1,5 cm thick, lumpy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of overripe stone fruits mingling with zesty and a little sharp citrus fruit. Mango and overripe peach. A whiff of petroleum. Grapefruit and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
TA tart and dry Christmas greeting.
