Very little Flemish Red character. Dry cardboard flavour with no distinct Dubbel or Flanders Red flavours. Kind of a letdown. All of the advertised characteristics were extremely weak.

Dubbel With complexity. Fig and dark. Masterful dubbel. Like a uniboue with good yeast. Mixed fermentation.

Surprised to see this on the menu as I was under the impression that Habits does all saisons and related beers- though this was labelled as a 'farmhouse dubbel'. The nose is a bit faint, consists of raisin, grape and bread. The taste is similar, very focused on juicy dark fruits: raisin, fig, red grape. Bread and a bit of a spicy flavour. It's certainly a dubbel- not sure what is farmhouse about it. Too sweet for me, even for style. I think dubbels are hard to get right- most don't do it for me. This would be one.
