Bottle from the brewpub. Served in an Indie Ale House snifter.
A - Off-white foam quickly sizzles to a thin partial collar. Nice transparent ruby-amber body with a glow to it.
S - A mix of sweet and tart flavors. Candi sugar, red fruits, light wine vinegar, touch of oak that intensifies as the beer warms. This one is more sour than funky, although there is some musky overripe fruit in the mix.
T - The taste is also surprisingly tart. This is advertised as a quad with brett, but there's a lot more acetic acid and wine-barrel influence. Big tart grape and oak notes; brett lingers in the finish give it a slightly dusty, medicinal note. Earlier reviews mention sweetness, but this is quite attenuated; there's only a vague reminiscence of the base quad mid-palate.
M - Quite dry, with very well-hidden alcohol. Medium-full body, lower carbonation, with some tannins present.
D - This was quite nice. Not too sweet, not too sour, not too boozy. One of the best beers I've had from Folly (although that's a lowish bar). Kind of glad I bought a second bottle.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
