This Brett DIPA, a style that is slowly becoming a "thing", pours lovely yellow with a small head retention.
The nose is fungus smelling, foul funk. Not something that will make you want to dig in. So I did.
The hops offset some of the Brett, but honestly, I don't think this pairing works very well. Maybe with less Brett or more hops pushed to the forefront, but as is, and unless this style is done better, I will prefer my Brett in a saison. Americans and Belgians handle Brett much better than Canadians, at least thus far.
Otherwise dry, bitter finish with no other distinguishing notes of anything.
