Picked up a sixer of this for the weekend and was definately not disappointed. Pours a crisp light golden with a moderate white head with an ample amount of staying pour. Aroma is of light frutiness. More fruit than I'm used to experiencing in a lager. Taste is very clean. Highlighted by notes of biscuit and fruit and finishing with a slightly resiny hop flavor. Quenching beer. Would be perfect for bbq-ing. Will probably pick up again.

A medium sized white head with fine sized bubbles. The body was carbonated and slightly hazy. The hue of this beer was a pale yellow and it left only a fair amount of lacing on the sides of my glass. The nose was malty and somewhat fruity. The flavor was bitter, sweet and it left an aftertaste that lingered. The mouthfeel was smooth and thin. This beer lacks character as nothing really stood out with this beer.

I had a pretty large cook out over the weekend, and bought a 1/2 barrel of this Lager without having previously tried it. I was intrigued that it was a local (Indianapolis) brewed beer, and had tried one of Oaken Barrel's other offerings a few months back.
I found it be a very refreshing beer, which you could easily drink throughout the night. The taste was complex for a Lager, but not overbearing, and was enjoyed by the beer aficianados as well as the macrobrew crowd. Out of nearly 40 people who sampled this beer, I only found one person who didn't find this to be a very good brew.
The beer was a cloudy gold color, and had a creamy mouthfeel. The head settled to a thin layer after the first few pours.
------
Re-sampled on 12/13/02 from a bottle
In bottles, this beer loses some of the smoothness and visual appeal of the draught version. Clear gold, with a very quickly disappating head. Spicy saaz hop flavor and aroma balances a cracker-like malt. A well made and very drinkable Pilsner.
