Appearance -
Dark red-brown colour, clear with a little bit of sediment in the bottom of the glass, 1 finger off-white head, moderate lacing and effervescence.
Smell -
Caramel, biscuit, oats, hay, honey, almond milk, and roasted coffee beans - sweet malty notes lead. A hint of hop aromas with some underlying notes of dates and dark fruits.
Taste -
Creamy with almond milk tones and a hint of coffee which give it a roasty cafe latte-like character in its flavour, and result in a beer approaching sour-style territory. Slight mineral water-like body. The fruit notes come through too with hints of port, sultana, dates and fruitcake.
Mouthfeel -
Very fizzy, medium body, creamy and smooth with slight foam. A little bit on the fizzy side to call it easy drinking.
Overall -
Some nice flavours and complexity to enjoy, but the malt character dominate the delightful dark fruit flavours this beer hints at, and leaves me wishing they were more prominent and balanced in the mix.

From bottle, pours a black colour with a small tan head that retained ok. Aroma caramel, nuts, smokey, roasty grains. Taste sweet, chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar. Not to bad.
