Our stout is enough to convince anyone to come to the dark side. Rich espresso and dark chocolate aromas are rounded out with a deliciously smooth roastiness on the palate. Convinced? You should be.

From the Boozebud Advent Calender 2022 day 10. Drunk in June 2023.
L: Jet black with a thin rim of cream-coloured head. Lacing on the glass. No carbonation is seen in the glass.
S: Roasty, dark chocolate, raspberry, cola, tangy toffee and caramel.
T: Closely following the nose. The roasty bitterness is medium and increases on the swallow.
M: More carbonic prickle than expected from the visuals, but suiting the beer well.
O: This is a good, tasty stout. There are no particular earth-shattering highlights, just a well-made, enjoyable beer.
Cheers!

375 can, best before 28/02/2021, poured into a tulip glass.
Look: Pours black with about 1-5-2cm of foamy, tan head that bubbles itself away slowly. Leaving some lacing down the side of the glass.
Smell: Roastiness, a little bit of sweetness too, coffee and a bit of dark chocolate come through as it warms slightly. I'm getting a touch of soy sauce/Vegemite as well.
Taste: Bitter chocolate, black coffee, something a little sweet in there too which I can't quite put my finger on (maybe vanilla and burnt toffee), a touch of Vegemite towards the end.
Feel: mid-bodied, seems to fill the palate, but with a slight tingle of carbonation at the front of the tongue. Bitterness is persistent but not overwhelming, with a slight astringency at the end.
Overall: I quite enjoyed it. I could easily sit on 7-8 of these over the course of an evening.
