This trio of IPAs is a classic cinema trope in liquid form: the Brains, the Brawn, and the Beauty, each bringing its own prowess to the table to form an unstoppable force of hop-driven antics.
The Brawn is an unruly brute that woke up and chose violence. An aggressive 80 IBUs brought to you by fistfuls of Cascade Cryo, Kohatu, and Simcoe won’t pull any punches, getting straight to the bottom line while leaving nothing on the table.

This was a Father's Day present in September 2025, which was drunk in October of that year.
In the glass, it's a thick, dark mango orange, with a skinny covering of bright white head and lots of very tiny bubbles moving slowly up the glass.
The nose is a mix of guava, apricot, and generic tropical notes, with a touch of alcohol in the background.
The first thing to note about the taste is, well, it's a double IPA, and so there's a big, thick, malty backbone and a big, bitter citrus whack on the swallow. The finish is long and bitter and leaves a warmth in my gullet and gut from the excess booze in this big monster of a double IPA.
The body of the beer is thick and full, as required to support the malt and hops in this one. Carbonation is very high, and there's a big kick on the swallow.
Overall, this beer is deliberately over the top, willingly pushing the dial to ten and then keeping going. I suppose there's a market for this because it wouldn't be brewed otherwise. Maybe I'm getting old and don't see the point, but at the end of the day, I bought it and drank it, so I suppose I'm part of that point. It doesn't mean I enjoyed it, though.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
