330ml, bottle-conditioned. 3.5%. Pours translucent brown. Aroma and taste: fruity with some caramel. Mouthfeel: pleasant, smooth. Overall: a very competent mild ale from Kees.

Hazy brown color with light brown head. Aroma has coffee and malt notes. Also a bit of molasses. Taste follows with the same notes, slightly sweet at first but gets more bitter and roasty on the finish. Aftertaste lingers with some coffee bitterness. Body is medium and well carbonated. Overall it's a really tasty beer for a mild and also the body is heavier than expected.

Got this one at the Duvel guy.
From a bottle into a snifter
EBC: 30
EBU: 35
Maris Otter and cara malts
Fuggels and Goldings hops
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, slightly foamy, light cream head with great retention. Opaque rust red/brown in color with medium levels of carbonation. Head slowly fades to a nice wisp and sticks to the sides of the glass. A slight wisp and ring remain with falling dots of lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Toffee, dark bread, earthy hops and some light leather on the nose, Hints of roasted nuts as well. Pretty nice stuff.
TASTE: Dark bread, nuts and earthy flavors up front. Bold flavors with a big finish of nuts, toffee, bread, earthy hops and enough bitterness to balance the beer as well. Light chocolate flavors linger with the nutty malts and earthy hop flavors.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Enough weight, creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch mouth coating.
OVERALL: Really, really good. Much better than I was expecting, for some reason. This one is rather bitter for the style perhaps, but it's flavorful, enjoyable, and bold for the style. Well put together and well worth checking out if you get the chance. Recommended.
