L: Pitch black with a small amount of light brown head (from an aggressive pour) that fades very quickly. S: Aged on Bunnahabhain Islay barrels, and while there is clearly a heavy peatiness to it, there is also a nice fudge aroma that stands out just as much as the peat does. Bittersweet and reminiscent of beef jerky. T: Like drinking liquid smoke. The Islay barrels drown out all else, making it rather one dimensional. I love a good single malt Islay as much as the next guy, but as a beer, this lacks depth. Beef jerky flavor at the end. F: Nice body. Overall, not so mine, but for peat lovers, worth a try.
