I rarely drink coffee. I don't care for the taste. That being said, I enjoyed this beer. It enjoy the creamy body the best. I like to share those strong coffee RIS with guests after dinner instead of espresso (that I cannot deliver)

Got this one at the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a bottle into a snifter
EBC: 120
EBU: 55
Malts: Caramel and chocolate
Hops: Summit
Oatmeal breakfast coffee stout
APPEARANCE: Clear dark brown pour yields a one finger, fizzy, looser light tan head with half decent retention. Head quickly fizzes down to a half wisp and tries to cling to the glass. Clear black body with no real carbonation evident. A splotchy wisp remains leaving some falling lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Light coffee notes with chocolate, cream, vanilla, butterscotch and roasted aromas on the nose. Medium strength and the coffee is rather light.
TASTE: Coffee up front, rather raw, with a touch of green pea notes, some vanilla cream and heavily roasted flavors at the swallow. Flavorful and more forthcoming than the nose had suggested. Fuller in flavor as well. A bold and lingering finish of roasted and burnt coffee beans, sweet vanilla cream, toffee, butterscotch and light chocolate notes. Heavily roasted and the coffee comes out well up front.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. A little prickly on the palate, goes down fine with enough weight, finishing a bit sticky.
OVERALL: This is solid. The flavor has plenty to deal with and is much more impressive than the nose had led on. It’s got a touch of green pea character, which I’m usually never a fan of, but it’s not enough to get in the way for me. The rest of the stout is well put together, though I’d prefer a creamier, more robust head on this one. Nevertheless, this is another good beer by Kees and is well worth diving into if you get the chance. Recommended!

Pours opaque black with a thin ring of small bubbles. Rich stout aroma like coffe or chocolate, The taste is quite ordinary and bitter. Actually nothing special for me as I'm not a fan of dark beers.
