Very low carbonation, inky Black beer, minimal with basically zero lace. Medium body. For me feels near perfect and elegant, not a chewy sticky experience but has me going back for sip after sip. Tricky to get that deft feel with such low carbonation. Very tasty
Balance of chocolate and whiskey that cleans up pretty nicely and doesn’t get cloying. Just a real fan of these guys’ work and conception with barrel aging and malt forward beers in general.

The nose is soooo good, almost impossible for the flavor to live up to it. Good and boozy. Never had a stout from the Netherlands before. A unique experience.

Dark brown color with tan head. On the aroma the whiskey comes forward, woody and slightly metallic, some toffee and caramel play second fiddle. Taste follows with toffee and bourbon, wood barrel and roasted malt bitterness on the finish. Body is quite heavy, carbonation is low, feels almost flat. Overall it has some pretty nice flavors and the alcohol is hidden well.

Pitch black almost no head
Cookie dough, cocoa, vanilla, oak, bourbon, esters
The taste follows with a wet wood impression. Doesn't stay long in mouth, some bitterness
Thick but not overly sweet, very low carbonation
Okay barrel aged stout
