I stopped into the Rock yesterday and had two 12oz pours of this ($8.50 ea). It was on cask, with oak chips soaked with Doire Distilling Splinters Whiskey.
It was jet black, dense and oily. Had a short beige head, with nice lacing left arrears. Aroma had some mild maple, roasty notes, a hint of smoke, and light whiskey. Body was medium to medium-plus, and it was quite smooth.
Tasted of roasty malts with a touch of bitterness. That was offset by some maple semi-sweetness, plus some smoky bacon. Had subtle hints of whiskey in the dry finish. Very tasty! Cheers!

Taster at the source.
Solid dark brown/black huge raw maple aroma and flavor that might be overpowering if it weren't for the solid roastiness in the base beer. I enjoyed the hell our of this beer!
