22oz bottle dated 1/2/17.
Pours dark copper with a moderate head and retention. Aromatics feature a blend of caramel malt, pepper spice, and a hint of pine. Medium bodied with a slickish mouthfeel. Sweet malt starts the palate with fruity spice and piney hops. The heat from the pepper builds but doesn't burn. Finishes with lingering throat warmth and toffee-laced malt.
Tasty enough but would certainly benefit from less sweet malt and more peppers and hops.

Bottle from the Lazy Dog
Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a big bubbly white head that dissipates slowly. Spicy earthy on the nose with a hint of bready malt. Fruity earthy bready flavor with a light peppery spice up front. Light peppery warming in the back of the throat fills out the finish. Not intensely spicy but more of a fruity peppery flavor that does meld quite well with the base beer. Nice job!
