From the 750 ml. green waxed bottle with a January 2018 bottling date. Sampled on March 23, 2018.
It has a generally cloudy medium to dark amber pour underneath a soft, delicate, cream colored head.
The aroma is quite explosive with elements of fruit like cherry or berry, caramel malts, wood, earth, alcohol, and dark licorice.
I get a medium to full body and it is warming.
The taste is again sweet and malty to start, with a boozy bite kicking in, and a mild fruity character, that lingers dryly at the end.
