Sharing a 0.75l bottle with elder daughter Caitlin...
It's an opaque, rich mahogany color. Can't see how much carbo there is, but the topping is a thin, light beige layer of fine foam. Most gathers at the edge, with light lacing. Has a healthy amount of caramel in the nose, with noticeable spicy action. It is quite smooth and light on prickle, with a medium to medium-plus body.
Flavor is like a rich, english-style old ale. Has caramel all over; plenty of malt. I do also get some brown sugar, as the previous reviewer noted. It coats the tongue nicely with some solid semi-sweetness. The rye-whiskey aspect is a nice twist, with some very subtle hints of fruitiness. An interesting brew.... Prosit!

On tap at Cask and Vine Wed.
Hazy Murky copper amber brown in color with a thin off white head that doesn't last too long. Rich caramel and brown sugar with spicy earthy rye notes. Nice sipper.
