Very Good
Oceanside White IPAOceanside White IPA
Notes: Originally a collaboration brew we did with Green Room Brewing in Jax Beach, this wheat IPA became part of the line-up due to popular demand. Intensely hoppy, but the wheat base creates a sweet, smooth balance making this an easy-drinking IPA.

Deep gold; rocky white head; long lasting cap leaves a solid ring and moderately heavy lacing; excellent clarity. Grapefruit nose. Grapefruit hop bitterness; semi sweet caramel malt base.

Medium lite body; moderate carbonation; no astringency.

Clean easy drinking IPA with a nice hoppy bitter grapefruit linger; reminds me of a light Grapefruit Sculpin; glad I got a growler and I will look for this beer in the local grocery stores.

Purchased a room temperature six pack of "Oceanside" based on BeerAdvocate members interaction and info. .... Tomoka Brewing Company's "Oceanside" White IPA with a canned date of 12/3/18 - Tonight on 8/6/19 (8 months later) I cracked open a cold 12oz coral colored can that claims it's great on a beach day.. I'm drinking this at night. Day or night I could drink this beer 24/7

Very strong smell of grapefruit peel and sweet pilsner malt. There's almost a hard candy like aroma cutting through as well.
Very light in color and in flavor and washes off the pallette quickly. Very easy to drink because there is no evidence of hops, which is not what you want from an IPA

Fairly clear orangish gold brew, bordering on transparent. On tap, so no ability to evaluate head formation and retention.

I can smell the grapefruit from two feet away, so that's a positive. Slight bubblegum and candi sugar along with pale and caramel malt, the former more prominent than the latter. Noticeable pine and resin as well.

Lighter on the palate than the hoppy nose implied. Pale malts and crisp citrus first; very light citrus juice follows next, hinting of lemons (despite having grapefruit in the brew); slightly sweet yeast and sugar on the final third; finish lingers, carrying bitter citrus peel and pine, with remnants of earthy, spicy yeast as well.

Crisp and lively, although a touch watery in parts. Solid effort and enjoyable brew.

Pours a hazy medium yellow golden color with white head. Wheat, citrus, grass, pine, and some light sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a combination of wheat and citrus.

L: Pours a hazy pale gold. Some residue at the bottom of the glass. Minimal head and medium lacing.
S: Grapefruit rind, pine.
T: Grapefruit tastes natural and has a huge presence. Very hoppy for a white ipa, but the sweetness on the foreground helps keep it balanced.
F: Delicate and refreashing. Not a hint of alcohol. Carbonation is spot on.
O: Extremely balanced. Not exactly memorable, but a solid beer that is both refreashing and has a enough complexity to not be boring. I don't think I'd ever pass up one of these.

Draft poured into plastic cup (DWorld); hazy golden color, nice carbonation and modest head that fell away quickly. Grapefruit and hops are evident to nose. Well balanced with fruits and hops testing easy on palate. Nice refreshing beer.

12oz can poured into a snifter. The aroma is tropical fruits and citrus. The taste balances these fruity notes with some bitterness from the citrusy hops in the finish. Overall, Oceanside is a solid IPA. Cheers!

Beautiful light colored body with a really nice hoppy aroma.
Taste is much more hoppy than one would expect from a "white IPA".
Feel is light and refreshing for a 7.0% beer!
Overall, a nicely brewed beer that is worth the pick up.

Poured from an undated can (that states 7% ABV) into a Funky Buddha pint glass L: hazy yellow with a ton of fine suspended particles a couple of lazy bubble streams and a loosely packed finger of head with spotty lacing S: sweet bready scent with a faint lemon aroma T: sweet candied citrus followed by a bitter hop resin and slight drying alcohol M: light and dry O: this is my first "white IPA" so maybe it's throwing me off a little. It's not unpleasant but not necessarily something I would revisit.

My condo this week is about a mile from the Tomoka pub on Granada, but I haven't been there yet. But I got a few singles of their brews and the first is this. It's a winner. A light taste and feel in a quality, complex brew that is easy to drink. This should be quite popular if they can get the distribution.

It pours yellow, with medium to fine head. The aroma is fresh hops and a citrusy smell. Very nice.

The taste is a nice balance of malty freshness and hops working off that grapefruit. I've found grapefruit works great in this style due to the bitterness. It's like coffee in a stout. It blends. This one has a unique malt character that makes it special.

I look forward to trying the other cans I have and paying a visit to the pub. I will take some back to share with other beer lovers (and it's not like we don't have a brewery on every corner up by us). Highly recommended for a light tasting, refreshing drink that isn't wimpy or boring.

Drinking this summer brew in FL where we have 6 months of summer twice a year. Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt, with a healthy dose of grapefruit peel. I'm not a big fan of wheat or pilsner beers, but I have to say this is delicious. The grapefruit flavors and bitterness make it work.

Imagine the perfect beer for a day at the beach. This is it.

Appearance: cloudy with burnt honey notes. Thin white lacing.

Aroma: light orange pith with a creaminess on the nose. Light piney hop note, slight resinous on the nose as well.

Taste: pronounced Orange bitterness. Broad spectrum from juicy orange or green orange stem. Wheat malt mouthfeel with slight heavy vegetal nature.

Mouthfeel: med-heavy mouth feel with slight astringency with cloying bitterness.

Overall: amazing hybrid ipa. Overall a good wheaten mix with slight spicing. Get one, plant yourself on the beach, sip and enjoy.

On tap at the brewery taproom.
Excellent looking, with a creamy and durable white head that leaves sheets of patterned lacing.

Well crafted and distinct IPA with nice fruit (especially orange) and floral notes. Moderately bitter balance with some faint sweet notes. Nice lively feel.
