on tap at the Union Beer Store in Miami -
Smell: mostly dark malts, caramel and toffee, some nuts, earthy hops and a hint of banana.
Look: poured amber/brown with a nice half inch of off-white head with mediocre retention. despite color, it is mostly a clear beer. zero lacing happened.
Taste: this is where this beer really falls short. malty, some caramel and toffee and a nutty thing going on but no real PB flavor... and the banana I get is mostly ripe banana (not in a good way). the bitterness is muted and not part of the whole.
Feel: medium/light body, thin texture, moderate carbonation and some unpleasant astringency. Finishes sweet with that ripe banana and off astringency dominating.
Overall: for someone who loves the PB and banana combo, this was hugely disappointing. nothing comes close here to adding that flavor to this beer. in terms of a brown ale, its not very good either... too light bodied, and simple to carry itself. Great idea, very poor execution.

very dark and cloudy. Looks like a Dubbel. Smells bit boozy with some mild sweetness. smells better as it warms. No artificial smells since they used actually peanuts and banana.
The taste is very smooth with a nice peanut taste in the back of the mouth. Not sweet at all. Very dry. It's easy to drink.
Not bad. But I was hoping for a more ripe banana taste and sweetness. I don't think it was oath the $20 I spent, but o well.
