What's to say, really cool vibe, entire JP lineup including a pretty good variety of NP and JP one-offs. Selection was stellar when I was there and service was informed and engaging. Thumbs up!

This was stop #4 on a pub crawl for my wife and me this day. The tap room is located in a partitioned area at the front of this large industrial building that is set in an industrial park. For being an industrial building the interior finishes were well done to provide a lot of character to this place. It's large and it's open, but the vibe is there. The place was not yet busy for the early evening crowd so we chose seats at the bar and received excellent service.
The tap room serves beers with the Jolly Pumpkin, Grizzly Peak, and North Peak brewery names. Thirty beers were available, and we were told that all of the beers served here are brewed in this building regardless of which of the brewery's name is on the label. Another operation under the NULL name is the micro-distillery business, of which there are two brand names that produce about a dozen different spirits. Wine is also offered, but I did not clarify if wine-making is also a part of the overall operation, or whether the wines come from an outside source. The merchandise store sells a selection of these beverages, in addition to the normal t-shirts, hats, etc.
We chose sampler-sized glasses of three Jolly Pumpkin beers and two that were brewed from Grizzly Peak recipes. All of the JP beers see some time in oak barrels so that they have some sour/funky characteristics to them, but the JP Black IPA had no sourness, although it was detectable on the nose. (This is not a complaint; just making the point that each beer has a different level of sour/tart/funky flavor.) Being somewhat of a novice of drinking sour beers, it makes it difficult to evaluate them, but we did enjoy each of them. However, we felt that the two beers from Grizzly Peak were exceptional (an old ale and an imperial stout).
No food is served here, although they have a cheese & cracker snack plate, beef sticks, chips, etc. The pub is also food friendly. Regardless of whether we are fans of sour/funky beers, we enjoyed this place so that we'd go back again when in the area. After all, they do have 14 beers that are Grizzly Peak and North Peak beers, so very good alternatives are available.

This is the home base for Jolly Pumpkin and North Peaks Brewing Companies, as well as their spirits division. Decent sized gift shop area with just about every bottled type of JP and NP beers, as well as miscellaneous gear. Draft list is extremely extensive, and allows for tastes, half pours, pints, growler fills, etc. Is situated in an industrial park, but definitely worth the trip to Dexter.

Just south of Dexter, prolly 30 mins from Ann Arbor
Be smarter to call this the jolly pumpkin tap house IMHO, save everybody some confusion, anyway the have beers from the afor mentioned JP and from North Peak, artisanal spirits from Civilized spirits, and old mission spirits, as well as cider and wine from other micro producers....a lot going on here...they have plenty of quality beer options including some one off kinda stuff from JP, nice....also you can get tasty and yes, again artisanaly produced bar snacks, including cheese plates with stinky stuff from local heros Zingerman's, also booze infusions and tasty cocktails....very cool place and well worth a visit....beer to go as well...I'd be a regular if local! ( which always seems to be the highest praise I can give a place). Just go if you find yourself in the general area...

How to turn a crappy space into a great pub. Plus, Jolly Pumpkin on tap! For the real beer lover, it can't get better.
