A: Light copper color, decent off-white head with moderate retention.
S: Little smell, slightly malty.
T: Extremely sweet for the style. Can definitely use more hops to balance.
MF: Light body, high carbonation.
This is a drinkable beer for the price (around $1 per can in Edmonton), but could be much better with some more hops.

The final in a trio of offerings that play out in the following corporate hierarchy: Liquor Depot -> Pine Creek Brewing -> Big Rock Brewery. Only the first two are named on the packaging, including the 355ml can.
This beer pours a clear medium amber colour, with one finger of soapy off-white head, which leaves a droopy ring of lace around the glass as it duly settles. It smells of mild caramel malt, a bit of breadiness, and pale weedy hops. The taste is caramel malt, kind of with a dry edge, and plain, very subtle earthy hops. The carbonation is moderate, the body medium-light in weight, and smooth enough. It finishes drier than expected, and generally balanced.
An average amber ale, at least lacking its category competitors' standard metallic/skunk flaws. For a buck a beer, hard to beat Big Rock's finest ale dregs...
