Nice dark brown amber, though for a beer labeled a "black lager", it's actually a bit lighter than a lot of dark lagers. Typical malts on the nose. Big chocolate note. Not much bitterness, not even the usual roasted/coffee notes. Definitely on the sweet side. Very smooth. Clean, smooth, sweet finish. Overall a nice dark lager.
