From the growler via Savor Growl in Columbus. This decent little Scottish ale
pours a medium dark red tinged brown color with a nice head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin light pool, and shows some nice light spotty lacing. Nose of
light toffee, subtle dark berry notes, subtle roasted malts, and subtle herbal hops.
Flavors follow the nose with subtle dark berry notes of raspberries and a touch of
dark sweet cherries awash in light toffee and dark sweet malts that have found
communion with a light herbal tea like hop flavor that is pleasant and balanced.
Nice mouth feel; medium body, light carbonation, and a sweet tea like finish.
Overall, a solid brew from a up and coming brewery in the Gahanna area.
Cheers
