Sampled twice (4oz) at Cask Days at Beau's Oktoberfest 2011. Listed as an imperial Altbier, no mention of ABV.
Poured a rusty copper colour with a fairly large (for a 4oz sample) off-white coloured head.
Very fruity aroma--that of raisins or plums and sour red cherry--reminded me of an imperial stout, but without a real coffee or chocolate backing.
Taste was sweet and of deep fruit, with a really boozy punch and and it had a real cough medicine sort of feeling to it and a hint of dark spices.
Pretty easy-drinking but also quite syrupy on the tongue. The aftertaste really lingers.
I like a couple of Cameron's bottled/distributed beers (kinda dislike the others), but I've never tasted something this bold from them before. It's probably too sweet, but I'd try try it again for sure.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
