On cask at Volo's Cask Days 2011, 7.0ABV and 20IBUs.
Pours an unfiltered reddish brown, ring of offwhite head which leaves just a collar behind. Nose is intense, phenolic, berry pits, cherry and raspberry, oak and a huge sour quality to this. A touch of sweetness. Flavour is tart initially, but gets sweet real quick with some more berry notes, oak, cherry and raspberry. More phenolic notes. Tart mouthfeel, fruity aftertaste, lingering sourness. Harsh and sour throughout, and alot of different things going on here. Flavour wasn't all that pleasant, and I can't get past how harsh this was. This was tough to finish.

Cask Days 2011. Somewhat rough beer yet with a tasty edge. Rye, aspartame. light orange colour.Spicy nose. Not so drinkable. Too many ideas in one beer.Still worth trying once. A wrthwhile experiment and sours are increasingly in demand, but maybe keep to less ideas next batch.
