De Lidl. En vaso para cepillo de dientes de Hotel Aloha Golf Trinidad Roquetas de Mar. Ligera, algo aguada, con un amargor marcado pero el lúpulo algo pasado de rosca, quedando algo fuera de lugar

In Ireland it’s not as cheap as everywhere else in Europe, unfortunately. Lidl sold me the 500ml can for around 2€. It’s not printed, but a sticker on a white can, although it looks very colourful and presents itself well.
Top: forms an inch of off white/light cream head which lasts below average.
Colour: dark amber, with a hint of haziness. Looks nice.
Smell: after decanting sweet malts, figs.
Taste: very light on the hoppy bitterness, more malty. Light citrus and melon notes. The overall taste reminds me of a session IPA, although it’s a bit stronger than that, 5.5% ABV. The body is on the light side of medium, carbonation is medium. It doesn’t have much character, yet, presents nothing hurtful and it’s definitely an IPA by feel.
Summary: this (if in your country it’s cheap enough) is a great alternative to an “end-of-the-day-lager”. Very drinkable. Although it lacks a strong character, which I usually expect from the genre, I could enjoy on a warm day or after work, even 2 or 3 of it. Had way worse for more money. A good entry level IPA for beginners. That should be its motto.

500ml Can from Lidl, Fermanagh (£1.99):
Dark amber with a huge, foamy head that's an off-white colour & pretty thick, sitting about 2 inches tall & holding well. The nose is fruity & quite sweet with a lot of pineapple upfront, some citrus & a hoppy bitterness to finish but it was quite one-dimensional with the pineapple dominating. The taste opens with a lot of pineapple & a juicy sweetness with some citrus, pine & an earthy bitterness that has some caramel touches. It's overly sweet at times with a medium body & a crisp, tangy feel but the balance is poor & there's just too much pineapple for me.
