Big, bright airy space in the middle of the Sunset District with a full bar and on premesis brewery that produces a range of styles. Lots of tasty choices from the kitchen for lunch and dinner.

The first thing to say about SRBC is that the brewing of beer seems to be in second or third place in their business model. If you go to their website, you'll see information about their food and their cocktails. For beer, you'll see a brief listing of six beers on tap. No info about those beers, their ABV, beer style, or anything else.

And that's kind of what you get at the restaurant. This place is really a restaurant/cocktail bar/beer place, and the beer isn't front and center. That said, I had one taster (wheat sour, mediocre) and one pint (dry stout, pretty good), and the beer was OK. The pluses in my visit were (1) a chance to watch the Warriors/Cavs game #1 in the Outer Sunset neighborhood I happened to be limited to, and (2) a very good goat cheese and kale pizza.

So, BA beer geeks, don't go here for the beer. There are much better places in SF to spend your time at. But, if like me, you find yourself in Outer Sunset, hey, it's worth a stop. Especially if there's a Warriors game on, and you can get a seat near one of the two TVs in this rather large restaurant.

Quite disappointing. They are supposed to be a beer place, but after ordering I was told the cooling equipment wasn't working properly, and the beer would be warm. It took them quite a while to pour the beer, then a lot longer to get it to the table, so if it wasn't warm initially it was now.

I ordered a flight, and apparently the high temperature caused the beer to foam a lot, and basically filled the muffin tin with beer, so when I went to drink the tasters dripped all over my food and all over me.

The food was fine, but I really went there for the beer, and was less than impressed.

First thing I noticed is that they lacked an IPA. Sure, they had a session IPA, and I’ve seen them list a DIPA, but I’m a little surprised –especially in the hop loving haven of SF—that there’s not a regular IPA available.
Or maybe there is and it was just out.
The place is enormous, spacious, and the food is terrific. The rest of the beers are meh at best, and that’s counting their much loved sourdough wheat. Be prepared for some hot/cold service—you’ll be ignored until you’re doted on.
