16 oz. can dated 9/22/16
Pours amber bronze with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like toasted bread crust, crackery caramely malts, some apple, pear, grape, orange citrus, with earthy pine and spicy herbal grass. Tastes like toasted bread crust, crackery caramely grain, some apple, pear, grape, orange citrus, with earthy pine and spicy herbal grass. Feels medium bodied, slick and creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a nice Märzen Oktoberfestbier.

Gifted a can at my local bottle shop, shout out to my plug. Great beer for early fall, clean mouthfeel and a well-defined malt bill make me excited to take another sip. Nothing ground-breaking, but the underlying cinnamon note is a nice touch. Would not personally revisit but another solid Down The Road offering.

Canned 9/22/16
Pours a nice fluffy foamy 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, a little lacing, very clear honey orange color.
nose big toasted malt, cereal grains and a little gristy, into an herbal spicy grassy hop, a little sweet with big toasted cereal grains, a little fruity note as well.
Taste brings a littlte syrupy sweet malt, plenty of toasted husky grains, gristy and toasted cereal, a thick almost syrupy thing with that, a touch of a fruity lager component, it tries to get soft but the thickness seems to stop it, into some spicy herbal hops again, little grassy and mossy, mild hop mild bitterness. Finish is a bit dry touch sticky, fair to mild bitterness, a little more herbal grassy hop lingering, with sticky sweet toasted grainy gristy malt, and a hint of caramel like flavor lingering.
Mouth is med to thicker bod and soft yet a little syrupy like feel, nice carb at least,
Overall OK, thankfully it's not a caramel syrup bomb as many American festbiers are, the malts are OK, hops are decent, the lagering attempts to be nice and thankfully wasn't a bad lagering, the thickness of the beer seems to counteract the softness, but that could be just me.
