From the 16 oz. can dated 04/`0/`8. Sampled on June 28, 2018.
It pours cranberry or Hi-C red with a quick lasting fizzy white head. I am never thrilled with the appearance of some of these fruity-type beers. Though since it is made with blackberry, I expected something closer to violet.
The aroma does emit sensations of blackberry juice or fruit with a muted bready malt base and little to no hop profile.
Light to medium and effervescent body.
A definite tart and sour character to the taste with a prominent berry flavor but little else. No wheat, no m alts, and a lingering fruity finish. This was a gift. It is not something I would go out of my way to buy. Just not my thing.
