The fifth and final release of our Harvest Green Hop series is a bold and punchy Red IPA, full of fresh Harlequin hops from hop legends Charles Faram. Their Hop Development Programme over the last few years has produced varieties that break all preconceptions about British-grown hops, and the expression of Harlequin we got from using it fresh demonstrates that perfectly.
After a first hit of pineapple, passion fruit and passion fruit on the nose, coloured malts coat your palette with festive red berries, candy sugar and Seville oranges. Mellow bitterness then cuts through with notes of cedar and tobacco leaf. This is a beer that showcases the future of the UK hop scene, in a style synonymous with our past.

Pours a dark copper with soft, fluffy tan head.
Smell is fruity and sweet with notes of red Non-Stop, strawberry jam, citrus, pine and a hint of chocolate.
Taste is fruity, sweet and spicy with a solid bitterness. Notes of pine, citrus, licorice, red Nonstop and hints of chocolate and coffee.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, sticky and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific red IPA that reminds me of Alesmith's Yule.
