This beer was poured a redish amber color with a slightly yellow white head. The head was fairly thin and and stayed that way the ebtire beer. Lacing was ok, would have liked to see alittle more. The smell was a slightly toasted carmel and hops with a hint of sweetness.
The taste was slightly fruity with a slight hint of tartness. This was balanced with a nice chunk of hops, I think it was the same type hops used in their IPA. Very hoppy with a nice hoppy after taste. The mouthfeel was good, the CO2 was perfect, but it was a little thin for a Barley Wine.
Another really good beer from Brewbakers, make sure to stop in a try a few of their beers.
