This beer was poured a very dark rich chocolate brown with a thin tan head. With this beer being pushed nitrogen, it had a ton of lacing and the head lasted the entire beer. The smell of this beer was a sweet malt smell with a hint of maple syrup and a slight hint of hops.

The taste a sweet malt flavor with hints of maple syrup and a very slight hint of what I would call a cookie flavor (a sweet chalkiness). there was also a hint of hops at the back end that was very refreshing. I am not used to there being this amount of hops in a stout and maybe it was a bitterness that I had mistaken for hops, but what ever it was it was very tasty. The mouthfeel of this beer was good, with the NO2 being just right, but the beer seemed just a little thin.

Probably the best Oatmeal Stout I have had to date and beer you should have if you are a stout fan.
