12oz bottle into a 16oz glass.
L: lightly clouded red caramel, white fluffy head, ok carbonation, some lacing.
S: citrus and caramel, esters.
T: sweet caramel malts, orange rind, cocoa toasted malts, light citrus, pine. Good balance.
F: heavy bodied mouthfeel, moderately bitter, smooth & lightly creamy, long finish.
O: Fairly easy drinking for it's ABV. It's long finish is sort of drying. It is very good in it's style.

Looks a bit murky and has a large long lasting head. Plenty of lacing is left behind. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel malts. But not that aromatic. Sweet malt flavor that is a bit fruity. Not at all bitter. Citrus hop flavors but I wanted more. I like it more as a sample in the store than what I have getting through the bottle. Enjoyable body that is smoothly carbonated.

Pours a golden amber color with a fresh white head. Smell is malty with baked bread with citrus aromas. Taste had nice citrus hops mixed with pine. baked bread malts with some caramel very nice. Mouth feel was creamy smooth with some dry bitterness, very impressed with this brew.

22 oz bottle poured into an IPA glass. Bought at The Ale Jail in Saint Paul, MN. Relatively new brewery in Saint Paul. Named after the limestone caves that line the edge of the city. First time drinking their beer!
L - amber red color, shiny jewel like body, foamy frothy white head, super tight lacing
S - medium light aroma, pine, toasted malt, hint of tropical fruit
T - amber/pilsner malt followed immediately by pine bitter hops. Resin is medium plus. Reminds me of a Fat Tire with hops but more toasty and less malty.
F - super smooth beer. pilsner type feel, medium alcohol, resinous hops in that order. Very even keel, super balanced
O - first time having a beer from this brewery and I love it! I have noticed a similarity between Surly and Summit in how the water is and you can tell that the water in Minnesota makes some really good beer. Super crisp and clean water, the hops definitely add some brut to it. Red Desert IPA lives up to it's name. Cheers!

L: Pours hazy copper amber under a 1” cream to tan colored foam cap that takes 3 minutes to recede to 1/3.” The beer clears as it warms.
S: Light toast, citrus, a trace of caramel and some earthiness. .

No burnt or harsh flavors, no sourness.
F: Very creamy, medium body and carbonation
O: A full flavored, very drinkable IPA.
