i liked this one, but it was a little sweet for high volume consumption. its sort of built like a tripel it seems, it has the fruity yeast, a fuller body that likely includes some wheat in the grist, and some serious residual sugar. sort of a burnt orange color, a tall white head, and fine clarity. it smells like honey and orange, grain and yeast together. pineapple juice from the can in the taste, more honey, toasted wheat bread, and a high ester belgian yeast thing, quite pungent. it lingers a little long for me though, even for what it is, and feels weighty and hard on the guts, one small glass was enough for me. i think its a cool beer because it is a little different, and it doesnt look like these guys have done much in the way of belgian styles before, so this is a nice kick at the can. i would like it more if it were drier, but the bigger grain base is cool with this yeast, very warm fermentation too here i would suspect. my first beer from these guys, i will check out some more of their work when i am in town next.

Had on tap at the Pig & Fiddle L: Pours hzy gold with a thin cream colored foam cap.
S: Yeast, fruit and biscuit aromas.
T: Has a very fruity, yeast driven palate with peach, mango and slight over ripe fruit.
F: Medium body and carbonation.
O: A refreshing, easy to drink beer that they should make more of.
