Had on tap. Chestnut brown body with a little bit of taupe foam. Smell and taste are the same, both shallow and overly sweet from the toffee, malts, booze and really sweet raisin. Some licorice in taste too. Way too sweet for the style, and booze floods beer before the finish. While the flavor components are good, their sum in this case is sloppy

Overtly, almost but not quite cloyingly, sweet rather than the rich maltiness expected from the style.
