Double Milkshake IPA brewed with mango, passion fruit and Milk Sugar. Hazy orange appearance. Aromas of oranges, ripe mango, passion fruit and pine. Drinks smooth and viscous. Low bitterness but with a light pleasant spiciness from the hops. Lightly tart and moderately effervescent.

12 FL OZ can
Served in a Batch stemless wine glass

This beer pours a turbid amber hue. It is topped with less than an inch of beige head that leaves spotty lacing.

The smell has passionfruit and mango and is kind of tart.

The taste starts out with a tart mango flavor. The passionfruit follows. It has a unique flavor versus other IPAs of this variety.

Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

I like the uniqueness of this beer. The tart IPA aspect is enjoyable for me.

Version "G." - May 2019.

Pours a murky orange-brown with a finger of off-white head. Head retention is good. Aroma is earthy, dank, syrupy, resiny and citrus hops stick and linger for a long while. Bready, earthy malts add a little support. Flavor profile is dank, syrupy, resiny, citrus, earthy hops that starts Northwest-sticky before fading and morphing into more Northeast-citrus-sweet. Earthy, bready, grainy malts add a hearty layer of support, but not enough to counteract the hop bite. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a little creaminess up front and a fine particulate behind. Overall, sticky but sweet, and yet it never quite achieves balance.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz can.

Appearance - Pours deep copper color with a nice off white head that settles to a rocky cap. Spotty lacing.

Aroma - Orange, grapefruit, malt, caramel, booze.

Taste - Lost of orange, grapefruit, malt, caramel drinks more like a west coast IPA than NEIPA.

Feel - medium bodied well carbonated bitter dry finish.

Overall - Misses the mark for a NEIPA, a solid WC IPA.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours very hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, mango, melon, fruit skin, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tropical fruit, lactose, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, mango, melon, fruit skin, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy passion fruit, mango, melon, fruit skin, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tropical fruit, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/tangy/acidic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.9%. Overall this is a fantastic Milkshake IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, tropical fruit, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/tart/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel. Feels like Citra/Galaxy. Extremely juicy hops/fruit, with light dankness; great lactose and wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example.

New brewery to try tonight. Batch produced this beer Rainbow Colors Blend. I got this beer from a recent BIF it came from Michigan. The beer is 48 degrees and served in tulip glass. The gentle pour on the bee produced a two finger head with poor retention. The bright white head dissipated quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 6 a deep gold with amber hues. The haziness of the beer prevent clarity.

The aromas in the beer are oranges, lemons, resin, herbal, floral, sweet caramel, phenolic, toasted malts, bready, and yeasty.

The flavors in the beer oranges, lemons, resin, herbal, floral, caramel, phenolic, medicinal, toasted malts, grapefruit, and yeast.

The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and dank.

The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and a medium finish.

The beer is a miss for me. The DIPA lacks hops and the malt backbone is too firm. The toasted malt has a sticky sweet caramel note. The beer is average at best.
