Appearance, pours with respectable stout head, but soon develops a weak, soft carbonation head reminiscent of a cola.
Smell is a medium-dark roast coffee, mixed with deeply roasted malt.
Again, taste is forward coffee with a hint of deep malt. A bit out of balance. Roasted, smokey goodness left on the palate.
Feel is nice. Thickness in mouth is pleasant and light carbonation well suited to a stout.
May not get again in favor of CEO stout.

Delicious and beautiful beer. I have had a lot of coffee stouts and this actually tastes exactly like a cold brew coffe with a buzz. Great beer!

Pours a dark, dark brown; almost black. Minimum head that disappears quickly. Strong coffee aroma. Strong coffee taste. No bitterness. Nice mouth feel. Enjoyable.

Modest head production and retention. Brew has a clear, dark brown, cola-like appearance beneath an oily sheen of the head remnant.

Coffee on the nose is undeniable, almost grainy and freshly ground in presentation. Beneath, a classic stout profile presents tones of toffee, red grapes, char, banana, red wine, brown sugar, chocolate, caramel, and prunes. Very straightforward aroma, but quite pleasant and restrained.

Flavor follows. It's a lovely, approachable English Oatmeal Stout, bitter and roasty, but not overly harsh or strong. Very drinkable. The added coffee comes on quite strong at the midway point, adding to the bitterness and lasting through the finish. Flavor is a little less deep and complex than the nose: bitter chocolate, roast, a bit of char, brown sugar, and barely noticeable tones of red grapes or wine.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/7/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted oats, biscuit, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, molasses, licorice, smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted oats, biscuit, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, molasses, licorice, smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/char/coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted oats, biscuit, nuts, dark/brown bread, vanilla, molasses, licorice, smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; with no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an awesome coffee oatmeal stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/charred/drying finish. Awesome balanced rich malts and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with nice earthy hop presence/balance for the style. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
