The beer poured out as a brown color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer is pretty heavy with the bourbon notes. The taste brings that bourbon in there again with some of toasted caramel flavors with some dark fruit in there too. The feel is pretty good. Overall it was a solid brew!

This is Insanity aged in Woodford Reserve barrels. It was available for Super Barrel Weekend 2016.
The bourbon notes are much stronger compared to the standard Insanity. Once this baby warmed up, it was like drinking a nice bourbon with a splash of barleywine.
