Collaboration with Cape May Brewing Co.
Since Cape May, NJ, is a quick 160-mile drive south of Easton, PA, these two powerhouses came together to bring you Paradise 160 -- a high-octane India Pale Lager that's been thoroughly Americanized by dry-hopping it into oblivion with a combination of some of our most desirable hops: Wakatu and Hallertau Blanc. Eminently crushable with a mind-blowing nose, Paradise 160 is where New Jersey meets Pennsylvania, where old school meets new school, where you're bound to find your new favorite brew.

Looks like a pale ale and has an citrus flavor. I feel sticks around on your tongue. I get very little florals or piney flavor from the IPA of the Indian Pale Lager.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smell is decent and sweet. Taste is mostly citrus but not hoppy citrus. Mouthfeel is good with good coating. Overall a decent IPL, but not something you must have.

DATE: June 15, 2017... OCCASION: preparing for a free Friday helping Michael and Joey celebrate their last day of school... GLASSWARE: standard 22 oz. pilsner... pours from a Liquor Factory growler (same day, $5 off promo) a light amber body that packs lively off-white head three fingers deep... a reasonable trail of upward effervescence feeds the half finger remaining, with upward arches curling... instant mango, light perfume, and zesty lemon from the Wakatu...common bread malts suggest a lager after all... not sure this is how PA and NJ smell together, but man invites the drinker to willingly pay a toll either way... the first sip is balanced, lively, and refreshing, with enough weight to urge a second sip... little in thee way of hop feel, with more strength on its back end... reasonably dry in its finish... mango, tropical passion fruit, banana, light biscuit, a slight aspirin detection, and lemon round out a diverse, rewarding draw... a sweetness pervades the experience... I am easily impressed by this style in general, and glad that brewers are embracing its existence... this version introduced me to a new hop variety, and overall, I would say the growler was worth its price... refreshing and flavorful in stasis... nice, thick head remains throughout the drinking, adding to the visual enjoyment... after reading an article on the acceptance of the IPL as a legitimate style, I am surprised that the IPL is not a Beer Advocate style selection...
