Festeweizen is a hybrid style combining the flavors of a German fest beer and a German Hefeweizen. Brewed using Vienna and wheat malts with a traditional German Hefeweizen yeast, this 5% ABV beer is malty and medium-bodied with subtle floral and citrus notes.

12 oz can purchased from the brewery.

Deep gold color that's mostly clear with a slight haze. Big, creamy white head with good retention that leaves lacing in the glass. A little citrus and banana in the aroma and flavor with a big wheat malt presence. Soft finish and medium bodied.

This is a hard beer to characterize. It successfully combines the flavors of a festbier and a weissbier but doesn't fully grasp the best aspects of either style. I'd say it leans more towards a weissbier than anything else, with the wheat and yeast really coming through.
