Picked up a can of this on the discount rack at a local store. It has a bready, biscuity taste contrasted with a decent hoppiness that's somewhere between floral and piney. Backing the flavor is a delicious malt backbone. It goes down smooth with its nicely balanced flavor and lightly carbonated almost creamy mouthfeel. Its a really drinkable pale ale full of flavor. Its too bad that this beer is retired.

12oz can into 10oz pint (style) glass
Canned on 1/4/18, but I bought at brewery 2 days ago (my bad for not looking)
Opaque peach with thin off-white head that sticks to the side of the glass
Grapefruit, sweet mango
Malt forward, sweet fruit, stale hoppy finish
Medium bodied average carb
Overall this is a great easy drinking Pale, it's a shame that the brewery is selling 7month old pales

Nice IPA. Foamy, tasty and drinks well. Meaning not too strong or over powering. Drink it if no lager is around.

12oz can into a tall glass. Canned 1/4/18, so a 3 1/2 months old here.
hazy orange/amber body with good foamy white head leaving nice lacing. good carbonation.
very faint fruit aromas.
smooth tasting, slightly sweet. not much of a hop bite, possibly age related. despite the carbonation, the beer tastes a little dead.
Mouth is close to full, finish is bittersweet.
overall, a smooth tasting mild pale ale, that somehow seems less than it should be.

DATE: April 5, 2018... OCCASION: O's/Yanks and Cavs/Wiz tonight-channel-flipping and beer sipping... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... sizzles out the can, with a swirling haze of amber orange body building a thick, foamy white head... bubbly lacing, looking like coral and wisps of clouds... heavy caramel notes mingle with bread and light spices--the dank earthiness, orange peel, mango, and apple suggest a hearty, worthwhile pale ale... first sip is appropriately bitter, sharp at the teeth, with a medium-bodied weight... crisp and smooth--attributable to its malty strength... a 4.5% ABV makes this a trump card against the parade of session IPAs available... orange, pineapple, apple, caramel, and some spiciness... no doubt, I am impressed with this pale ale, not pale in its strength or character...

The fairly hazy orange-amber beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1” off-white head that slowly recedes to leave some large patches and arches of lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates scattered large patches of lacing, most of which slide back down to the liquid leaving smaller patches and an occasional leg of lacing.
The aromas include both some light citrus and what seems a lot like peaches.
The flavors are much as expected from the nose with some citrus and peach showing. There’s a nice blending of both some sweetness from the malt and some light bitterness from the hops.
The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied and fairly smooth with very light, finely bubbled persistent carbonation. The finish begins as the peach and the citric bitterness begin to fade and move to the back of the palate, The sweetness disappears and leaves a slight peach accent to the moderately dry, slightly bitter ending.
The Wingman lives up to its name in that it is not intensely flavored, it easily drinkable and I could see having it on offer with grilled burgers or a nice cheddar cheese. I expect to be having more and can recommend it as a lightly flavored easily drinkable beer.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Nearly clear golden pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.
S: Cracked grains and bitter hops.
T/F: Light bodied... crackery grains/malts. Mild hop bitterness. Pine and citrus... herbal. Slightly earthy. Super easy drinking. Thin, but expected given the ABV. Finish is more of the same.
O: A super light and easy drinking brew from Weyerbacher. Great flavor for the low ABV. Nothing exciting, but one you could drink all day. Definitely a beer with a situational purpose.
