First had: on tap at Capone's, Norristown, PA
Poured a dark, copper-brown with a small white head that didn't linger too long. Toasted malts in the nose, nutty, with some fresh hops apparent. Earthy, bready taste, good balance of malts and citrusy hops; sort of a hoppy amber ale. A little bitter in the aftertaste. Light-medium mouthfeel and pretty drinkable.

on tap at varga in philly
Pours a deep burnt orange with brown hues, thick crop of white head, retains for a bit and leaves some splotchy lacing on the glass.
Decent amount of biscuity malt in the nose with citrusy hops and pith. Doughy caramel, slight butteriness and sweet edges.
Begins with bitter, dry hoppiness, some citrus pangs. More malt driven overall, thick bready tones with dough and caramel. A slight hint of butter followed by dark fruit with cherry and raisin. I also detected an odd coffee flavor in there as well. Finishes bitter and dry.
Medium body, higher carb, dry and a little chewy. I'll definitely take a Hops Infusion over this any day - the flavors kinda clash, and the butter and coffee I picked up on was definitely weird.

Description: "A dark amber IPA with bready notes, slightly sweet, spicy and a herbal finish."
On tap at Capone's. Served in a mini snifter.
Pours copper with a short white head that persists for a bit before falling and not leaving any real head behind. The nose is quite floral with some malt. Really kind of earthy as well, with an almost coffee-like presence. Kind of odd, but kind of nice. The flavor has some malt and a bit of light sweetness but not too much hop flavor. Decent bitterness. Some earthiness. Just okay.

On draft at Capone's in Philadelphia.
The beer is a dark amber color, with a finger of off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma brings a balance of hops and malts, with additional spice notes. The flavor is slightly sweet, with an even balance of hops to malts. This is not the typical American hop bomb. Quite the contrary. The finish leaves a malty aftertaste on the palate. While this is a decent brew, the beer's title is misleading. This is far too malt toward to be an IPA. A decent beer, as long as you aren't expecting it to be hop forward, as is customary of the style.
